Patient Handling Guidelines

Due to the lack of active SL hospital facilities to transfer patient care, FRFD and SL Medevac will use the following guidelines to end Role Plays that involve patients.

All patients will be transferred to the "Urgent Care Unit  (UCU)"  at the clinic in Foresta Marina. It will be assumed that Role Plays involving patients will terminate ("The patient is stabilized and transferred to an appropriate long term care facility") at this point unless clinic staff is available.  The UCU is the end goal for all patients unless otherwise specified.

IN FORESTA & TURVILE
- Helo Evacs will fly back to the Clinic Helipad and patients transfered to the UCU.
- Ground transport will go directly to the Clinic building and patients will be transferred to the UCU.

IN ALVENSLEBEN
- Helo Evacs will fly to the Clinic Helipad at Foresta.  Patients will then be transferred to the UCU.
- Ground transport will respond back to Station 39.
        - If the patient is NPC the patient RP will end there.
        - If the patient is AVI and Medevac is available, this will be the designated LZ for pickup.
        - If the patient is AVI and Medevac is not available, utilize the transporter (Virtual Medevac) for the patient to be transferred to the UCU.

OTHER SIMS WE COVER WHERE IT IS NOT PRACTICAL FOR MEDEVAC TO FLY BACK TO THE UCU

Station 41 - There is a local hospital on this sim

At the time of publication this document covers the sims currently covered by the district.  If another Sim is added this guide line should be used to determine how to handle patients. In short:
    - Ground transport will go to the respective fire station where a transporter (virtual Medevac) will be available to take patients to the UCU
    - On sims where Medevac is able to fly to/from they should be utilized when available to transport patients to the UCU
