Strip mall fire

Units responded to a reported explosion at the new strip mall in Foresta last night. Upon arrival, two of the three units were heavily involved. Mutual aid was called from New Horizons Airport as well as the West Metro Fire Protection District. Deputy Chief Aurora assumed command and directed operations.

Motorcycle accident on Sleydon Lane, Turvile

A 911 caller contacted the Harbor Patrol and Fire Department early Sunday afternoon and reported a motorcycle accident in the area of the Firelands-Aurora Firefighter Training Academy. Harbor Patrol responded with Chief John P. Marchlewski and Captain Shania Wolfe. Upon arrival they found one of their own - Captain Logan Wolfe semi conscious and badly injured.

Initial fire department response was made with Squad 385 and District Chief Laville working alone to stabalize the patient until Firefighter Usagi arrived to assist. Once stabilized the patient was transported to the new Foresta-Alvensleben Clinic & Urgent Care in Foresta.

Mutual aid to New Horizons Airport for a helicopter crash

Chief Drake Hartle called for mutual aid for a helicopter crash a few nights ago. The helicopter pilot lost control and crashed into the airport jet fuel tanks.....

Mutual aid to West Metro for a roll over MVA

Meanwhile back at the forest fire....

While we were at the explosion call in Foresta two helicopters collided in mid air. While the pilot of one escaped relatively unharmed another suffered a bad crash. We responded with Squad 386 and assisted in transport after members from the West Metro Fire Protection District performed extrication.

Explosion

While out on the mutual aid call to the SLFS we were alerted by the Firelands Harbor Patrol that an explosion had occurred along the Boardwalk stores in Foresta. Upon arrival we found three heavily involved sections of the store building on fire. Fire Chief Drake Hartle from neighboring New Horizons airport arrived to provide support since we were short staffed. The Firelands Harbor Patrol also provided fire suppression via air drop.

Mutual aid for a forest fire at the Bufo National Park

An "all call" alert was dispatched via the MABAS Group on Sunday afternoon. Approximately 60 acres was reported to be on fire. The SLFS (Second Life Forestry Service) requested engines and tankers from a multitude of agencies throughout the grid.
